Tradition Trees became the leading provider of Christmas trees in
Atlanta through a commitment to customer service and the top notch
quality of our trees. However, we believe Christmas is first and
foremost a season of giving. For this reason Tradition Trees donates
an annual percentage of our proceeds to the
Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). For over thirty years now, the
ACFB has distributed nearly two million pounds of food monthly to
needy families in Atlanta and across North Georgia. We are proud to
play a part in helping keep people fed this Christmas season.
Since inception in 2006, Tradition Trees has partnered with several
other additional local charities including
Winship Cancer Institute,
Center for the Visually Impaired,
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and
Christmas House. If interested in partnering your charity with
Tradition Trees during the holiday season, please direct all inquiries
here.
Locally owned and operated, Tradition Trees is the creation of Matt
and Jeff Bowman. Both born and raised in Atlanta, the Bowman brothers
are graduates of the Lovett School and share a combined fifteen years
of experience providing Christmas Trees in the Atlanta area. When not
growing and selling Christmas trees, Matt and Jeff also operate
Georgia Farm To Table, a produce stand and food distribution
company bringing the very best local and regional produce to Atlanta
neighborhoods and communities.
Matt Bowman is a small business owner and successful entrepreneur.
A dyed in the red Bulldog fan, Matt graduated from the University of
Georgia with honors and went to work for Moondance Adventures, leading
young people from the Atlanta area and the Southeast on wilderness
trips through Washington state, Wyoming, and Alaska. An avid
fisherman and outdoorsman, Matt is happiest with two feet in a river,
fly rod in hand and a hatch of mayflies coming up to the surface.
Prior to his career as a successful fir handler and Christmas tree
farmer, Jeff Bowman was a journalist and writer headquartered in Latin
America. Jeff has written articles and essays for numerous
publications in the United States and Latin America. His short
fiction has appeared in The Chattahoochee Review and The Best American
Mystery Short Stories of 2004.
Lucky Bowman is the heart and soul of Tradition Trees. A true
friend of the fir, Lucky provides countless hours of amusement and
entertainment finding new ways to use Christmas trees as a source of
fun and play. Discovered one cold December evening at one of our
Tradition Trees locations, Lucky was adopted by the brothers Bowman
and, as has been said often before, became the luckiest dog in all
Atlanta.
